Last Day of swimming & July 4th

For the fourth we had hamburgers as a family. The neighbors had the kids over for water games and after dark some other neighbors blocked off the street and lit fireworks (illegals and all). We spent our traditional $10 on sparklers and enjoyed the show at everyone elses' expense.



Jaxon hated it but CJ & Lexi LOVED it.



One of our neighbors coordinated a bicycle parade. CJ is the one with the blue helmet and green and blue streamers. Not exactly the right color scheme! :)



At the last day of swimming the kids got to go down the slide. Of course they didn't want to go. I finally bribed CJ but Jaxon would have nothing to do with it. While I was trying to throw Jaxon down the slide, the teacher was at the bottom trying to convince him it was something he wanted to do, CJ forgot that he was supposed to hold on to the side of the pool. When we noticed him sinking and his teacher got to him, he said, "Mom, I was trying to kick my legs hard, but it wasn't working."
