Charlie was gone on sunday, monday, tuesday and most of wednesday to Denver. We tried hard to stay distracted while he was gone. You saw what we spent our sunday doing (previous post). Monday we had school, piano, dinner, FHE and of course had to do a fire with smores.
Tuesday I picked CJ up from school and we went downtown boise for him to get his blood drawn. It was hard and we had to hold him down! Then we had the best zoo visit ever. the weather was great and since it was 1 hour prior to closing almost no one was there! We had dinner at their favorite McDonald's (yuck) and then we took Jaxon & Lexi to gymnastics. The kids even helped me clean the car after that.
Wednesday the kids went to school and Charlie came home from Denver before they were home.
Thursday we finished packing out bags and headed out to Las Vegas. We took the scenic route through Station Creek.
What we look like in the car.
We first stopped in the Mink Creek cemetary to honor grandparents and leave a little color behind.
We took a ride to the top of the mountain. Lilli was taking off her jacket and had her pants down to go in the toilet until she lifted the lid and saw all of the wasps.
Home sweet home.
The kids discovered rock rollers.
CJ wanted G & G Olson to know we were at Pizza Villa
We also stopped to leave some color for G & G Stocks.
We stayed in Brigham City with Mike & Anna. He helped me endure a 7 mile run. It was painful. He did circles around me. :) This is the Brigham City temple...almost done.
some newer bunnies.
Not a great shot but isn't this life-size Angel Moroni cool? This is a couple feet shorter and a bit more muscular than the ones on temples currently.
Our neighbor Caren Durrant entered this and it was chosen to be displayed in the Pioneer Heritage Art Museum.
Friday night we stated in St. George with Jerry + Christin + kids and went to Snow Canyon the next day.
their awesome garden. It amazes me that anything can grow in that red dirt!
Lilli wouldn't let anyone help her up or down. "I do it" "I do it!" Independence is rough on parents!
All 9 kids + dog. :)
took some photos of the temple.
good times and memory making in Las Vegas. We felt so blessed by the people that let us stay in their house and made meals for us. What remarkable kindness and genuine charity.
